Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is CAHS?
A: CAHS; the Cincinnati Aviation Heritage Society formed by a group of aviation history buffs interested in the history of Civil aviation history.

Q: How do I become a member?
A: Print the form found on our Membership page and mail it with your dues to the address on the form.

Q: Do you have meetings?
A: Yes. Right now the steering group meets at 10:00 AM on the third Friday of every month in our office at the Lunken Airport Terminal South end. Regular membership meetings are planned in the near future during evening hours. This will be determined by the membership.

Q: When is the museum open?

A: The museum is open Monday and Friday each week from 10:00AM until 2:00PM or later if we have visitors. Call 859-803-2016 to make sure we're there. We will make special arrangements if you can't come during the scheduled hours. Call us.

Q: What sort of history is of interest to the organization?

A: CAHS area of interest covers any aviation activities within a 100 mile radius of Cincinnati. We are interested in airports existing and forgotten. We're interested in all people associated with the airports. Our focus is toward General Aviation and Airline Operations (Civil Aviation).

Q: Why don't you do Military Aviation?

A: Cincinnati already has a very nice Military Aviation Museum at Clermont County Airport with the Tri-State Warbird Museum. There is a B-17 named "My Gal Sal" in restoration at Blue Ash and in Hamilton we have the Butler County Warbirds. Our museum will not compete because Military collections are done so well in our area.
